Book Review: Reflected In You by Sylvia Day

On My Bedside Table: Reflected In You By Sylvia Day

Recently, a friend recommended I read Bared To You by Sylvia Day. I bought the book, book one in the Crossfire series, and finished it in one night. The erotic romance series is about a young, professional coming to terms with her traumatic past. Eva moves to New York from California with her best friend Carey for a fresh start and meets handsome, powerful businessman Gideon Cross. Before Eva realizes it, she is falling for Gideon while still trying to come to terms with her past. However, it becomes clear Gideon has a dark past of his own… I loved Bared To You and couldn’t wait for the next book in the series, Reflected In You (Berkley, $15.00, 338 pages) to come out.

Reflected In You was also a one night read. I couldn’t put it down. I think the reason I love this series so much can be summed up in one word: Gideon. Gideon is hot. Gideon is smart. Gideon is brooding. Gideon has wonderful taste in decor. Gideon has more money than he could ever spend. Gideon dresses like a runway model. Gideon is fiercely protective. So basically, I think Sylvia Day has created the perfect man with Gideon Cross. (She has also created the perfect shower scene. – Long story. Just read it.)

Reflected In You further explores the traumatic events in Eva’s past and sheds light on what happened to Gideon. The novel answers many of the questions readers may have had at the end of the first book. Eva and Gideon’s relationship has lots of twists and turns that had me rapidly turning pages to find out what happens next. I highly recommend Reflected In You to readers who enjoy erotica with an intriguing plot.
